Was ist das Kerngeschäft von SGL?
Wir, die SGL, sind ein Systemanbieter für Boden- und Pflanzengesundheit mit einer mehr als vierzigjährigen Erfahrung. Hervorgegangen aus einem Landhandelsunternehmen und Saatgutvermehrungsbetrieb, bieten wir Produkte und Wissen für eine zukunftsfähige Landwirtschaft.
Im Fokus unserer Arbeit stehen die Beratung und die Wissensvermittlung mit Handlungsempfehlungen für die tagtägliche Arbeit auf den Feldern. Die eigene Landwirtschaft und unsere Versuche liefern uns dafür wertvolle ackerbauliche Erkenntnisse und Strategien. Des Weiteren produzieren wir hochwertiges Getreidesaatgut für die Landwirte|Innen und den Handel.
Wie sind Ihre bisherigen Erfahrungen mit dem Quanturi-Temperaturüberwachungssystem?
Nachdem wir die Basisstation und den Verstärker korrekt positioniert haben, hat das System von Anfang an einwandfrei funktioniert. Wir nutzen das System, um die Temperatur des Getreides in unseren Flachlagern am Standort Erftstadt zu überwachen. Es geht um 7.000 Tonnen Saatgetreide, welches mit einem hohen Qualitätsanspruch zu Saatgut verarbeitet wird, sowie um ca. 5.000 Tonnen Konsumgetreide, das wir hauptsächlich an Mühlen weiterverkaufen.
Sind Sie mit dem Material (Hardware) zufrieden ?
Ja, die Lanzen sind robust und haben ohne Zwischenfälle funktioniert. Wir haben vorwiegend 300 cm Lanzen bei 4-5m Schütthöhe. Das Gute ist, dass sie an mehreren Stellen entlang des Spießes messen.
Sind Sie mit der Software zufrieden?
Ja, absolut. Die stündlichen Messungen und die Alarme haben uns dabei geholfen, die Belüftung effizient an- und auszuschalten. Wir konnten so den Energieverbrauch optimieren, bei Abweichungen schnell reagieren und die gute Qualität des Produkts behalten.
Mit dem virtuellen Lagern und die regelmäßigen Temperaturdaten in der App haben wir jederzeit den Überblick über die Temperaturverteilung in unseren Hallen.
Sind Sie mit dem Service zufrieden?
In jedem Fall. Wir wurden von Beginn an sehr gut beraten, haben vor dem Kauf des Systems diverse Tests mit Frau Tanda auf unserem Gelände durchgeführt und Signalstärken kontrolliert. Ebenso hatten wir zur Initialisierung des Systems eine Ansprechpartnerin, die uns alle Fragen beantworten konnte.
Erleichtert das System Ihre Arbeit?
Definitiv. Es spart Geld und Zeit. Früher musste ein Mitarbeiter täglich herumlaufen, auf die Getreidehaufen steigen, die Temperaturen messen und notieren – alles manuell. Jetzt kann dieser Mitarbeiter andere Aufgaben erledigen – es gibt hier immer viel zu tun!
Ein weiter nützlicher Aspekt für uns ist die Möglichkeit, Temperaturdaten zu exportieren. Das erleichtert unser Reporting für die Qualitätszertifizierung.

What is SGL's core business?
We, SGL, advice customer regarding the subject of soil and plant health with more than forty years of experience. Arising from a land trading company and seed producer, we now offer products and knowledge around sustainable agriculture.
The focus of our work is advising and sharing knowledge as well recommendations for the daily work in the fields. Our own farming and our trials provide us with valuable agronomic knowledge and strategies. We also produce high-quality cereal seed for farmers and the trade.
What is your experience with the Quanturi temperature monitoring system so far?
Once we positioned the base station and amplifier correctly, the system has worked flawlessly from the start. We use the system to monitor the temperature of the grain in our flat storages at the site in Erftstadt. We are talking about 7,000 tons of seed grain, which is processed into seed with a high quality standard, and about 5,000 tons of consumer grain, which we resell mainly to mills.
Are you satisfied with the material (hardware)?
Yes, the lances are robust and have worked without any issues. We have mainly 300 cm lances at 4-5m bulk height. The good thing is that the lances measure at multiple points along the spike.
Are you satisfied with the software?
Yes, absolutely. The measurements every hour and the alarms have helped us to turn the ventilation on and off efficiently. We were able to optimize energy consumption, to react quickly in case of anomalies and to keep a good quality of the end product.
With the virtual storages and the continuous temperature data in the app, we could keep the overview of the temperature distribution in our storages.
Are you satisfied with the service?
Sure. We were given very good advice from the very beginning. Before purchasing the system, we carried out various tests with Ms. Tanda on our premises and checked signal strengths. Likewise, we had a contact person who was able to answer all our questions.
Does the system facilitate your work?
Definitely. It lets us save money and time. In the past, an employee had to walk around every day, to climb on the grain piles, to measure and to note the temperatures - all manually. Now that employee can do other tasks - there's always plenty to do here!
Another useful aspect for us is the possibility to export temperature data. This facilitates our reporting for quality certification.
