How Vestis Prevents Laundry Fires with the Quanturi System

Location: USA

Product Name:  Quanturi Laundry Temperature Monitoring System

Interviewee Name: Dulce Pardo

Job Title: Safety Manager at Vestis Uniforms & Workplace Supplies

What challenges did you face before implementing the Quanturi system?

We started with the laundry system in the summer of 2025.

Before implementing the system, managers had limited visibility into the condition of the product and often needed to visit sites every 4–6 hours to take a single temperature reading with a thermal gun, including during weekends and holidays. The risk of spontaneous combustion remained a significant concern across multiple locations.

Why did you choose the Quanturi system?

The ability to customize each system to the specific needs of each location and geography was a key factor in choosing Quanturi.

Another important advantage has been the proactive alerts at specific temperature settings. These alerts provide clear visibility into product conditions and enable teams to respond before temperatures reach critical levels.

How has the Quanturi system impacted your operations?

The Quanturi system has helped plant managers rethink product flow to minimize what is left over at the end of the day that would need to be probed.

The alerts allow our teams to proactively identify carts/cages of product that begin to get hot so they can drop out the product and cool it down before temperatures escalate.

Since implementing probes at 25 sites, we have not experienced a single spontaneous combustion fire.

For the first time, the alert-enabled probes provide clear visibility into the condition of our product. They also give managers peace of mind during weekends and holidays by allowing them to monitor temperatures remotely rather than traveling to sites to take manual readings.

What has been your experience working with the Quanturi team?

The ordering process, the installation process, and the follow-up support we have received from Kelly and Ben have been great.

What feedback do you have for improving the Quanturi system or process?

One piece of feedback would be to minimize the number of activation codes. Instead of one code per 10 probes, it would be helpful to have one code per 25 probes.

Would you recommend the Quanturi solution to other organizations?

We would absolutely recommend the Quanturi solution to other organizations facing similar challenges.
